I had the pleasure of spending the weekend on Dartmoor and for the first morning I decided on Haytor as a location. When the alarm went off at 05.30 it was raining heavily, but not going out wasn't an option. The conditions were pretty grim leading up to and just after sunrise, but just as I was ready to give up and go for breakfast I spotted a small orange glow coming through the clouds. Over the next 90 seconds I was honored to witness an incredible change in conditions that allowed me to get this shot. Having Haytor in the image wasn't possible so I focused in on the valley below, it made the whole morning very worthwhile.
